Challenge

Having already worked with MCR Services to take advantage of its rework solution, Gastroback required the team’s services to get its kitchenware appliances ready for the UK retail environment. As a German company the products arrive in to the UK with European plugs. With an increase in demand for its innovative products and growing brand presence in the UK, Gastroback expanded its shipments of products to the UK including a waffle maker, coffee machine and raclette fondue set. As a knock on effect, this also meant the company required assistance with storage facilities that could manage a pick and pack service for them.

Solution

Gastroback depend on MCR Services along with its sister company, Moody Logistics and Storage, for all of its UK based needs for rework, storage and transportation. The team at MCR Services simply work with Moody Logistics—from the Cramlington site they share facilities with—to fulfil the pick and pack services as and when required. Once the plugs are changed the products are PAT tested before being palletised, ready for transportation around the country.
