These products are supplied to businesses across the UK, who operate in the furniture, interior design and building markets. EGGER (UK) Limited undertakes ongoing multi-million pound investments to ensure it operates some of the most technologically advanced chipboard plants in Europe.
ChallengeEGGER contacted MCR Services with a rework project involving 25metre rolls of edge-banding. The manufacturer required the rolls to be cut down to two different sizes—5m and 1.5m—to sell on to customers. This project would be ongoing to maintain good stock levels at EGGER for dispatch to its customers.
SolutionUsing a simple method in the workshop, the team at MCR set up a table length with marked up points for the edge banding cuts. It’s a relatively straightforward project and something the team can do swiftly as and when EGGER stock levels need to be increased.
