Inner Cushion Rework

After receiving a shipment of upholstered products from China, our client became aware of a serious issue with some of the furniture. The Furniture and Furnishings (Fire Safety) Regulations 1988 (as amended in 1989, 1993 and 2010) are UK law and are guidelines that set levels of fire resistance for domestic upholstered furniture, furnishings and other products containing upholstery. Therefore in order to get the furniture ready for the retail environment, our client desperately needed our help.

The team at MCR Services were provided with 450 replacement inner cushions and set the task of removing the furniture from boxes, replacing the faulty cushions, and repacking them ready for dispatch to the client’s warehouse. It was our responsibility to dispose of the faulty cushions on behalf of our client both safely and efficiently.
